NES Advantage Synthesizer
Completed: August 2010
Last Known Location: Brighton, MA

Lofi synth built into a NES Advantage controller.

Two square-wave oscillators controlled by individual knobs and played with the A and B buttons. B is in a higher pitch range and A is in a lower pitch range. These big red buttons have an almost touch-sensitive feel and give you control of small nuances in the sound. The original TURBO function adds pulsing/modulation to each oscillator with controls for speed. The player select switch is now the power switch. Start and select were replaced with a large red light. The slow button acts as a way to hold down the A or low pitch oscillator hands-free.

There is also a volume trim on the side to keep the output at the appropriate level and operating noise relatively low.

Audio Out: 1/4″ mono
Power: 9V Battery
